Yay! Forms in one paragraph
Yay! Forms is a web-based form builder for creating forms, surveys and quizzes, with artificial intelligence that helps build the form and then analyzes the responses. You describe the form in a prompt or build it in a visual editor, publish it by link, QR code or website embed, and read the results in the same product. The company describes sentiment, emotion and keyword analysis as included on every plan, including the cheapest one.
It is a hosted subscription service at yayforms.com. Nothing is installed, and respondents answer in a browser on a phone or computer.
What you can build with it
The help center documents these building blocks:
- Question types including short and long text, email, phone, number, date, multiple choice, yes or no, picture choice, file upload, website, statement, question groups, a scheduling field and a ready-made Net Promoter Score question
- Conditional logic, variables, scored quizzes, lead scoring and profile quizzes
- Welcome pages, several ending pages chosen by the answers given, and automatic redirects
- Two formats: one question at a time, or several fields on one screen
- Themes with your own colors, fonts, logo, images and video
For feedback work the useful pieces are the NPS question, the long text question for comments, and the AI analysis that reads those comments. Our guide to NPS and CSAT questions explains when each score is the right one to ask for.
How the response analysis works
Responses appear under a Results tab. The help center describes a response list, an inbox view, a kanban board for moving leads through stages, a downloadable summary, CSV export, a word cloud, and text analysis that marks open answers as positive or negative.
The AI insights feature works per field: you pick a question, choose a period and an insight type, and the product writes a summary. A chat mode lets you ask questions of the data in plain language, such as what respondents complained about most. Yay! Forms' comparison pages place this chat on the Plus plan and above. The product also records drop-off by question and partial responses from people who quit before submitting.
This is the main thing that separates it from a plain form tool. It does not replace reading the comments yourself. Our comment coding guide shows how to check an automated summary against the raw answers.
Who is behind Yay! Forms
The site footer names YAYFORMS, LLC. The About page says the product was started in 2022, founded in the United States, and names two founders. The terms of use say the company is registered in Florida, with a registered office address in Sheridan, Wyoming, and that Florida law governs the agreement. The site states the service is hosted in the United States.
The vendor reports more than 44,000 users and over 125 million responses collected. Those are the company's own figures and we have not checked them independently. The interface is offered in English, Portuguese and Spanish, and several of the listed integrations are tools popular in Brazil.
What Yay! Forms costs
| Plan | Monthly billing | Billed yearly, per month | Submissions per month |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $19 | $9 | 200 |
| Plus | $39 | $29 | 2,000 |
| Professional | $79 | $59 | 20,000 |
All plans include unlimited forms, users and workspaces. There is a 7-day free trial and no permanent free plan on the pricing page. The full breakdown, including overage charges and refund terms, is on our Yay! Forms pricing page.
Who Yay! Forms suits, and who should look elsewhere
It suits a small organization that collects open-text feedback or leads, wants help reading the answers, and has more than one person who needs access. Every plan, including Starter, includes unlimited users.
It is a poor fit in three cases. If you need a free tool for an occasional internal survey, Tally has a free plan and Google lists no separate price for Google Forms. If you need to take payments inside a form, Yay! Forms' own comparison pages concede that Typeform and Jotform offer payment fields and it does not. If you need HIPAA or SOC 2 paperwork, the same pages list those as competitor strengths. Our Yay! Forms review weighs these trade-offs in more detail.
