Yay! Forms features at a glance, by plan

The pricing page reserves a short list for Plus and Professional. This table uses the plan lists as read on 3 October 2026.

Building and routing: question types and logic

The help center lists text, email, phone, number, date, multiple choice, yes or no, picture choice, file upload, website, statement and grouped questions, plus a scheduling field, input masks and a dedicated Net Promoter Score question with the 0 to 10 scale already set up. A form can show one question at a time or several fields on a screen.

Logic works per question. You can branch on an answer, keep running variables, score a quiz, score a lead, and send different respondents to different ending pages. Hidden fields and UTM parameters carry information you already know into the response. For a feedback form this means a low score can lead to a question about what went wrong while a high score leads to a short thank-you. Our question wording guide covers what to ask at each branch.

Analyzing answers: AI insights, sentiment and drop-off

This is the feature group the vendor leads with. Per the help center you open Results, then Insights, choose a field, a period and an insight type, and the product generates a written summary. Text analysis tags open answers as positive or negative and lets you filter by emotion. A word cloud and a downloadable summary sit beside it.

A chat mode answers plain-language questions about the whole response set. The pricing page lists AI insights on every plan, while the vendor's comparison pages put the conversational chat on Plus and above. Form metrics, drop-off by question and a view of incomplete responses are listed for every plan. Treat automated sentiment as a first sort, then verify with a manual pass as described in our comment coding guide.

Publishing, tracking and passing data on

Forms are shared by link or QR code, or embedded in six formats, including a side tab that keeps a feedback form reachable from any page. The Plus plan adds a branded subdomain and removes the badge, which the help center confirms is a single toggle in form settings.

For data flow, the integrations page lists Google Sheets, HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Mailchimp, GoHighLevel, Kommo, Slack, Telegram, WhatsApp, Zapier, Make and webhooks, among others. A setting can send incomplete responses to those integrations after a period of inactivity that you choose. Details and setup steps are in our Yay! Forms integrations guide.

What is missing from Yay! Forms

The vendor's own comparison pages list these as things rivals have and Yay! Forms does not:

  • Payment fields. Typeform and Jotform accept payments inside a form. Yay! Forms lists no payment field.
  • A permanent free plan. There is a 7-day trial only.
  • Native Salesforce integration. Listed as a Typeform advantage.
  • Compliance attestations. SOC 2, ISO 27001 and HIPAA are listed as competitor strengths, not as Yay! Forms features.
  • EU data hosting. The terms say the service is hosted in the United States.

One point needs checking during a trial. The pricing page lists email, WhatsApp and Slack notifications under features that all plans include, yet the Starter card omits them and the Plus and Professional cards name them. Confirm in the trial account before relying on alerts on Starter.

Which feature set fits which organization

If your main job is reading open comments from a few hundred customers a month, Starter or Plus covers it and the analysis tools are the reason to pay. If you run ads to a form and need pixel tracking, you need Plus. If the form must take money or meet a healthcare compliance requirement, choose Jotform or Typeform instead and accept their per-seat and per-form limits.
