Entry price: Yay! Forms Starter against Typeform Basic
Yay! Forms is the cheaper of the two at every paid tier. Its Starter plan is $19 a month on monthly billing or $9 a month billed yearly, with 200 submissions a month and unlimited users. Typeform's Basic plan is $39 a month on monthly billing or $28 a month billed yearly, with 100 responses a month and one user. Both sets of prices were read on each vendor's pricing page on 3 October 2026, and the Typeform figures are the ones on its plan cards. Typeform's pricing page shows a second, lower set of figures in a comparison table further down ($29, $59 and $99 on monthly billing), so confirm the price at checkout. Yay! Forms is cheaper on either set.
Typeform also has a free plan with a limited number of responses, which Yay! Forms does not. Yay! Forms offers a 7-day trial instead.

Typeform's pricing page also shows a ceiling on how many responses each plan can reach with add-ons: 750 on Basic, 2,500 on Plus and 50,000 on Business. Yay! Forms sells extra responses in blocks, for example $9.50 per 100 on Starter. Our Yay! Forms pricing page has a worked overage example.
What Yay! Forms does that Typeform does not
The clearest difference is seats. Yay! Forms includes unlimited users and workspaces on the $19 plan. Typeform Basic is a single seat, and its page lists three seats on Plus and five on Business. For a small team where the owner, an office manager and a contractor all need to see results, that alone decides the plan you would need at Typeform.
The second is analysis on the cheapest plan. Yay! Forms lists AI insights, sentiment and emotion detection, keyword extraction and drop-off rates on Starter. Typeform's page highlights drop-off rates and conversion tracking as Business features, and names its AI-driven Smart Insights on the Growth Flow plan, which is $379 a month on monthly billing. Yay! Forms also lets each form run as one question at a time or as a classic multi-field page.
What Typeform does that Yay! Forms does not
Typeform accepts payments in a form through Stripe, according to its feature list. Yay! Forms lists no payment field, and its own comparison page names payment fields as a Typeform advantage. The same page concedes a native Salesforce integration and SOC 2, HIPAA and ISO 27001 coverage to Typeform.
Typeform's pricing page backs part of that: HIPAA compliance, single sign-on and a choice of US or EU data center are marked as Enterprise features. It also lists video questions and answers, signature questions, forms in multiple languages, and a Calendly integration. If your form is a checkout, an intake form for a clinic, or part of a Salesforce pipeline, Typeform is the safer pick.
Who each tool suits
- Choose Yay! Forms if you collect a few hundred to a few thousand feedback or lead responses a month, several people need access, and you want help reading open comments without paying for a top tier.
- Choose Typeform if you need payments, a free plan for very low volume, enterprise compliance terms, or its Salesforce and Calendly connections.
- Choose neither if you only need a free internal survey. See our Typeform alternatives for free options.
At 1,000 responses a month the gap is easy to state: Yay! Forms Plus at $39 covers 2,000, while Typeform Plus at $79 on its plan card covers exactly 1,000, both on monthly billing.
What switching from Typeform involves
Yay! Forms says its team will recreate your Typeform forms at no charge within 24 hours if you send the public links, and that existing response history can be imported. The do-it-yourself route is to export from Typeform and import. Typeform's pricing page says that after canceling, changes take effect at the end of the prepaid period and that forms and collected responses are not deleted, though forms may be closed to new responses.
Before moving, list every integration and embed that points at the old form, and download a full response export. Our tool exit checklist covers the order to do this in. Remember that Yay! Forms' terms ask for 15 days' notice to cancel, so test thoroughly inside the 7-day trial.
