Per submission, Jotform Bronze is the better deal: 1,000 for $39 against Yay! Forms' 200 for $19. Yay! Forms Plus matches Bronze's $39 monthly price and doubles the allowance to 2,000 with no form cap.

How many limits you have to watch

Yay! Forms meters one thing, monthly submissions. Jotform's pricing FAQ describes several: active forms, monthly submissions, monthly form views, fields per form, payment submissions, signed documents and total submission storage. Its FAQ also says that if you exceed total submission storage, the oldest response is deleted to make room for new ones, and recommends downloading and purging old data to avoid that.

That storage rule matters for a feedback archive you plan to keep. Yay! Forms' help center says a form that hits the monthly limit stops accepting responses until the next cycle, an upgrade, or the paid overage add-on. Neither behavior is pleasant, so set a volume estimate first with our response budget guide.

One thing each tool does that the other does not

Jotform only: payments and a wider product family. Its pricing page lists payment integrations including Square, PayPal and Stripe as standard features, even on the free plan, with a monthly cap on payment submissions. It also offers e-signature documents, tables, workflows and approval flows, and optional HIPAA compliance features on the Gold plan. Nonprofits and schools can apply for a 50 percent discount on Bronze, Silver and Gold. Yay! Forms lists none of these, and its own comparison page concedes payments, the product family and compliance to Jotform.

Yay! Forms only: shared access on a low-cost plan, and analysis of what respondents wrote. Every Yay! Forms plan includes unlimited users and workspaces, while Jotform states that Enterprise is its only multiuser plan. Yay! Forms also lists sentiment and emotion detection, keyword extraction, AI insight summaries and drop-off rates on its $19 plan. The full list is on our Yay! Forms features page.

Who Jotform suits and who Yay! Forms suits

  • Jotform suits a single operator who needs order forms, registrations with payment, signed documents, or HIPAA-enabled intake, and who wants to start free.
  • Jotform also suits a registered nonprofit or school that qualifies for the half-price discount.
  • Yay! Forms suits a small team that shares one account, runs customer feedback or lead forms, and wants open comments sorted and summarized.
  • Yay! Forms suits anyone who needs more than 25 active forms without moving up a tier.

For a plain customer feedback survey with a few hundred replies, either works. The deciding question is whether you need payments, which points to Jotform, or teammates and text analysis, which points to Yay! Forms.

What switching from Jotform involves

Yay! Forms says its team will rebuild Jotform forms within 24 hours at no cost and bring response history with them. If you do it yourself, export submissions from Jotform first, then rebuild each form and replace every embed and link.

Check three things before canceling Jotform: that no form you still need takes payments, that signed documents are downloaded, and that the refund window fits your timing. Jotform refunds within 30 days of payment. Yay! Forms' terms allow a refund request within 7 days of the first payment and ask for 15 days' notice to cancel. Our tool exit checklist covers the rest.
