Why look for a Google Forms alternative
The Google Forms alternatives to price are Tally, Fillout, Jotform, Typeform, Zoho Forms and Yay! Forms: Tally for unlimited submissions at no cost under a fair use policy, and Yay! Forms for logic jumps and AI sorting of comments on every plan. Every price below is in US dollars, as read on October 13, 2026.
Google's Forms page names no price. Yay! Forms' own comparison page concedes that Google Forms is free, familiar to respondents and covered by Google Workspace compliance. Two limits in Google's help pages are the ones to weigh against the alternatives: answer-based jumps work only for multiple choice and dropdown questions, and Gemini summaries of open-text answers need an eligible Workspace or Google AI plan and 3 to 200 responses.
| Tool | Free plan or trial | Paid entry plan |

Tally gives unlimited forms and submissions at no cost as long as you stay within its fair use policy, with logic, payments, signatures and file uploads included. The policy gives 50,000 submissions a month as an example of extensive use, not a hard cap. Branding removal, a custom domain and team members start on Pro, which Tally prices on its own page.
When use stays extensive for 3 to 4 months in a row, the policy says a custom plan is billed quarterly on top of the subscription.
Fillout's free plan allows 1,000 responses a month with unlimited seats, and its Starter plan allows 2,000. Jotform's free Starter plan allows 5 forms and 100 submissions a month, and each self-serve plan is single-user. Zoho Forms' free plan allows 1 user, 3 forms and 500 submissions a month, while its Basic plan allows 10,000. More free plans are covered in free survey tools.
Paid alternatives: Typeform and Yay! Forms
Typeform's Basic plan is $39 a month on monthly billing or $28 a month on yearly billing (Typeform's US pricing), with 100 responses a month and 1 user. Plus is $79 a month on monthly billing or $56 on yearly billing and includes 1,000 responses and 3 users.
Yay! Forms Starter is $19 a month on monthly billing or $9 a month, billed yearly, with 200 form submissions a month. Logic jumps, which are IF-THEN rules attached to a question that can send a respondent to any question or ending screen, come with every plan, as do unlimited users. AI-powered insights, keyword extraction and sentiment and emotion detection are also listed on every plan, and you switch the text analysis on for each open-text question.
Each response can go to Google Sheets, to Zapier or Make with an API token, or to a webhook, all documented in its help center. Email, WhatsApp and Slack alerts are a Plus feature, per the vendor's Slack help article.
What happens at the limit, and moving responses out of Google Forms
Volume is the limit to weigh, because Starter stops at 200 form submissions a month. Without the optional add-on, a form that hits its plan limit stops accepting new responses until the next cycle or an upgrade; the add-on is $9.50 a month per 100 additional form submissions on Starter.
Yay! Forms' comparison page calls Google Forms unlimited, while Google's own help center says each form can receive up to 500k responses under limits that start in September 2026. Yay! Forms vs Google Forms compares the two directly.
Google lets you download all responses as a CSV file or link them to a Google Sheet, and Yay! Forms' Google Forms page says responses in a sheet can be imported by CSV. Export before deleting anything, since Google says deleted responses cannot be restored.
Which Google Forms alternative fits which team
- Tally for unlimited forms and submissions at no cost, within its fair use policy.
- Fillout for 1,000 free responses a month and unlimited seats.
- Zoho Forms for the largest allowance among the paid entry plans priced here: Basic gives 10,000 submissions a month.
- Typeform or Jotform for native payment fields, which Yay! Forms' own comparison pages concede to both.
- Yay! Forms for logic jumps and AI reading of comments: Starter is $9 a month, billed yearly, with 200 form submissions a month.
